The contractor plans on replacing the Melm's crossing tomorrow. We will will be putting in the stop logs at 8:00 in the morning and will start removing them one an hour beginning at 1:00 p.m. to minimize any flooding of downstream properties. 11/11/2009      Public Hearing on East End as a Nature Preserve and Park

A public hearing will be held Dec. 7th at the Allegan Township Hall 7:30 pm to consider the option of Allegan Township purchasing the East End property. The project would be possible with help from a DNR Grant to preserve the land and make a nature park.

We received a report of a burglary on the West end of Lorraine Drive. A lake-side garage was broken into sometime between Sunday (26th) and Wednesday (29th).

7:30pm Saturday July 4th beginning at that Boat Launch.

6/20/2009      Please Observe a NO-WAKE Weekend

As you likely know, we received a very large amount of rain in the last few days. As such, the lake has risen more than a foot. The extra water presents the potential for damage to shoreline, docks an other property.

5/19/2009      Drain Commissioner and the placement of Dam Sections

The Allegan County Drain Commissioner's Office is responsible for controlling the level of the outlet dam on Miner Lake. IN the fall they remove 1 foot (height) of dam and in the spring replace that same amount.

Historically they would remove or add all 4 sections with 1 visit.
